The famous architect Renzo Piano has designed the smallest tiny house in Europe. It measures only seven square metres. More and more people are following the dream of living in a tiny house. Some want to rid themselves of unnecessary clutter, others simply cannot afford to live in an expensive apartment. The Californian designer Jay Shafer, one of the founders of the tiny-house movement, has lived in a tiny house of ten square metres for many years. He has built a successful business selling his plans for tiny houses all across the US. The people who buy the designs often build the houses themselves.
